It Doesn't Take Much
It does not take much thought to determine that the American people have been consistently lied too. "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan." This really means that if Pres Obama likes your plan you can keep it and if he doesn't you can not. "No one will lose their policy." Not true, people are losing their policies left and right and the ones in the system to replae them are more money and less insurance. Once again, the very people that Pres Obama claims to be helping, are the very people that are going to be paying for the Affordable Care Act. Are we really lacking as people so much that we believe what he says any longer. He does not know anything that is going on. He is slicker than Clinton when it comes to scandals rolling off of his back.

America the Beautiful
My beliefs shape my thoughts, and my thoughts shape my beliefs. I believe that we should stand with Israel and that they shoudl be a state. I believe that the true enemy of our society is sin. I believe that with Jesus Christ, all things are possible. I know that this post will get blasted because I began with religious beliefs. I am a social and fiscal conservative. I do not believe that money can be thrown at our spending problem. I do not believe that we can outspend our debt. I do not believe taking from the working and giving to the non-working is the correct path. People are not living within their means. People place luxuries over neccessities. Our own government has convinced people that cell phones are a neccessity and people receive them for free. I believe that the elderly and the disabled, the truly disabled, should receive benefits. When I say truly disabled, I mean people who are more disabed than I am. I am not supposed to be working, and quite frankly, never had to work because of my physical condition. However, I was taught a work ethic. I did recieve Social Security for a while as I recovered from surgery. I applied for jobs everywhere was turned down by everyone. I went back to school and earned my teaching certificate. I now teach school. A beginning teacher salary at 41 with a wife and three children is not easy. I also work a second job to help make ends meet. I know what it is like to struggle and to have people talk about you. God has blessed me with the ability to do something, and I will do it until I can't. Then I will find something I can do. America is about opportunity. America is about competition. When we take competition away, what are we striving for? If we are not going forward we are going backward. And by forward, I don't mean to something different. I mean to be better.

No Apologies
Our country does not need to be sorry for being successful. We, as citizens, do not need to be made to feel as though we are wrong for striving to be better people. I think with the responsibility of becoming better people, we are to help our fellow citizens when in times of need. I feel as though this responsibility has been lifted from the churches of our nation and has been shifted to the government. I am not sure if was just easier for people this way, or if people became tired of others expecting them to give instead of appreciating what was given.
Our nation also does not need to apologize for being a superior military strength. We need to guard what we hold dear, our freedom. If at any time our freedom is threatened, we need to strike swiftly and deliberately the ones who have threatened us. I realize that we are not the only nation in the world, and we must get along with other people who have different cultures than we do. However, when these nations attempt to chip away at America, we need to flex muscle.
Our nation does not need to apologize for being a capitalistic society. I could have chosen to be anything I wanted to be. Everyone in America that is mentally capable can choose the career they wish to pursue. We are not promised wealth, although that is what the current administration would have us to believe; we are only promised the pursuit of said wealth. I could have been an attorney, a wall street banker, and had I not stopped my dream, a musician. I did not choose my physical disability that has hampered me from time to time, but I am where I am. Fortunately for me, I am in America.
America does not need to apologize for its medical system pre-Obamacare. If socialistic medicine is so great, and Hugo Chavez was such a great leader, then why was he not able to get the medical attention he needed in his own country.
We do not need to apologize for thinking and doing and working hard. We need to apologize for apologizing for being successful. The pie is there and is sliced into pieces, eat what you want.
